Autobiography Script

Hello everyone. My name is Diane Gierke. I grew up in a very small town so my parents had to travel 45 minutes to the town where I was born. I was born in Safford Arizona.

I majored in business education at the University of Arizona (U of A) in Tucson Arizona. I went on and got my master’s degree from the U of A in Teaching Teacher Education. I have taken 12 graduate level courses above my master’s degree in public administration.

The three words I would use to describe me are: loyal, caring, and dependable.

Being loyal is a very important quality to me. I am very loyal to those I know and love, and those I work with. Being loyal is being true to those around you and supporting them in any way

I describe myself as caring because I do care about others. I have a passion to help others and to help others improve their lives. When I hear that someone is hurting or sad, it makes me hurt and feel sad too. I believe everyone is worth something and sometimes they just need that helping had to help get them back on track.

I describe myself as dependable because I believe in doing what I say I will do in the time frame that is expected of me. If I commit to something, I believe it is very important to follow through and meet that commitment.

My parents’ names are Henry and Janice Grizzle. I thought that one day I would get married and be able to change my last name to something easier, but here I am a Gierke so guess that didn’t work out. My parents are a big influence in my life. They instilled good values and morals that I have carried with me. They are still there to help me any time I need help.

I am motivated to be the best person I can be. I want to be able to help others and to provide for my family. My family provides a lot of motivation for me.
My career aspirations were to become a teacher. I have been a teacher for 36 years. I love the teaching field and being able to help others learn something new, even if it is hard at first.
